To protect against data loss, our servers are equipped with technology that automatically mirrors all data in real-time to two separate locations. Regular incremental and full backups of all system data are performed, including off-site data backups stored in two separate secure physical locations, to protect against almost all disaster scenarios.

Sandra Spencer, CPA is the founding and managing partner of the firm. Sandra has assisted countless businesses with getting started, entity selection, obtaining financing, setting up office procedures and training on accounting software. The firm continues assisting these companies with their business needs throughout the company’s existence. Sandra specializes in small business accounting, individual tax planning and IRS representation as well as services in financial forensics.
Her extensive knowledge covers all areas of taxation: individual, trust, estate, partnership, corporation (C and S), LLC, non-profit as well as providing compiled, reviewed and prospective financial statements. Prior to forming the firm, Sandra practiced at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Syracuse, New York. Sandra is a graduate of Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants, AICPA Division of Forensic and Valuation Services, and the National Association of Professional Women. In the past, she served as treasurer to the Erie Canal Museum's Board of Trustees.
Sandra’s background in financial forensics includes providing services assisting in divorce asset calculations, business valuations, lost profits analysis, employee theft, and inventory loss. She has assisted corporate clients, individuals, and insurance companies in computing reasonable values in these areas and negotiating settlements.
Shaun is a senior staff accountant at Sandra Spencer, CPA. He began working with the firm in January of 2008, and is a graduate of Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration specializing in small business development.
He serves clients in a variety of industries in multiple states with individual, corporate, estate, and trust taxation as well as sales tax and payroll tax. Shaun has experience assisting international individual and corporate clients who live and/or have income in the Unites States with non-resident taxation as well as US citizens living and earning wages abroad.
Shaun regularly assists clients with QuickBooks and has experience with financial statement preparation for external users as well as providing controller type services for corporate clients wishing to outsource the position for assistance with general ledger maintenance and internal financial statement preparation.
Stephanie started working with the firm in February of 2015. She is a graduate of Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Taxation. She works with corporate and individual clients in a variety of industries on a host of tax related issues. Stephanie leads the office in researching taxation issues and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. She oversees write-up engagements and bookkeeping services provided to clients and is the firm’s QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. Her experience with Microsoft Office products as well as QuickBooks helps streamline client engagements and efficiency.
Shani began working for the office during 2014. She is a 2019 graduate from SUNY Plattsburgh with a B.S in accounting.
She assists with bookkeeping and write-up engagements and client data entry services for a wide range of clients as well as performs individual income tax preparation services.
